Microsoft today launched its biggest in-house compute processor for deployment on the Azure Cloud, the Microsoft Azure Maia 300. Announcing the silicon, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that the company would be scaling its Maia family of chips to multi-gigawatt deployments, making it the company's primary AI inferencing system for its own products and services.
